As an Audit Assistant, you will support audit engagements and assist in delivering high-quality assurance services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and performing statutory audits for companies across various industries.
- Carry out audit fieldwork and testing in accordance with audit procedures and standards.
- Gather, analyze, and document audit evidence.
- Perform detailed verification of financial records, transactions, and supporting documents.
- Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and audit documentation.
- Assist in identifying audit issues and communicating findings to seniors and managers.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information and documents.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit reports where required.
- Support ad-hoc assurance, accounting, and special assignments as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Candidates pursuing or intending to pursue professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CA Singapore, ICAEW) will have an added advantage.
Experience
- No prior experience required for entry-level candidates.
- Internship or prior audit/accounting experience will be advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of accounting and auditing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
