Job Summary
Perform comprehensive audiology assessments and provide expert hearing care services to patients, collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes and support clinic operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic hearing assessments and obtain detailed patient case histories to inform diagnosis and treatment planning
- Perform audiology tests including otoscopy, pure tone audiometry (PTA), tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions (OAE), and speech tests to evaluate hearing function accurately
- Record and upload test results precisely into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and communicate findings clearly to patients and healthcare staff
- Provide counselling to patients on hearing conditions, management options, and realistic expectations to support informed decision-making
- Evaluate, fit, adjust, and conduct follow-up reviews of hearing aids to optimize patient hearing outcomes
- Troubleshoot hearing aid issues, replace parts, and coordinate repairs to maintain device functionality
- Assist with support for implantable hearing devices, including middle ear and cochlear implants, ensuring patient comfort and device performance
- Collaborate effectively with clinicians, nurses, technicians, and vendors to address patient needs and equipment concerns promptly
- Support clinic operations by performing equipment calibration, monitoring stock levels, and responding to enquiries to maintain smooth workflow
- Participate actively in training programs, supervise junior staff, and contribute to departmental initiatives to foster continuous improvement
Requirement
- Min. Bachelor's degree in Audiology (Hons) or Master's degree in Audiology
