We are seeking an experienced Senior Audio Visual Technician / Engineer to support, maintain, and lead the delivery of high-quality AV solutions across corporate, event, and integrated systems environments. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with hands-on expertise and the ability to guide junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and commission professional audio-visual systems (audio, video, control, and conferencing).
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV system faults efficiently, both on-site and remotely.
- Provide technical support for meetings, events, and live productions as required.
- Lead or supervise junior technicians and external vendors during projects.
- Read, interpret, and implement system schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company SOPs.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and handover materials.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on AV industry experience (senior level).
- Strong knowledge of:Audio systems (DSPs, mixers, microphones)Video systems (displays, projection, video conferencing)Control systems (e.g. Crestron, AMX, Extron or similar)
- Experience with corporate AV, conference rooms, live events, or integrated systems.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical teams.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required for events or critical support.
Preferred Skills
- Network-based AV systems (AVoIP)
- Microsoft Teams Rooms / Zoom Rooms support
- System programming and commissioning experience
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Relevant AV certifications are highly advantageous.
