We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented AV Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting audio-visual systems across a range of projects. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and site surveys to understand client requirements and propose suitable AV solutions
- Present technical solutions and coordinate with consultants, clients, and contractors throughout project execution
- Design AV systems, including preparation of proposals, BOQs, schematics, and system drawings
- Perform cable termination, rack assembly, and installation tasks
- Test cables and equipment before, during, and after installation
- Troubleshoot system and equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Oversee onsite Testing & Commissioning (T&C) for completed projects
- Ensure smooth coordination with all stakeholders for timely project delivery
- Provide technical support, user training, and prepare project documentation
- Support preventative maintenance, system setup, and operation of AV systems
- Perform system upgrades and handle service-related incidents
- Ensure proper project handover, including UAT sign-offs, T&C checklists, and documentation filing
- Assist Project Engineering and Sales teams when required
- Ensure all works comply with quality and safety standards
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Audio Visual or related field)
- Proven experience in AV system design, installation, and commissioning
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with AV equipment, control systems, and cabling standards
- Ability to read and produce technical drawings and schematics
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
