Cana Consulting is seeking a seasoned Technical Director to join our client's Assurance leadership group.
As the primary technical authority, you will provide expert guidance on Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/SFRS(I)), Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA), and the regulatory requirements set by local governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead authority on financial reporting and auditing standards, ensuring full alignment with local regulatory expectations.
- Deliver prompt and actionable technical advice to partners and audit engagement teams.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of the organization's audit methodology, standardized templates, and technical guides.
- Perform reviews of high-risk or complex engagements to ensure adherence to professional standards and internal quality protocols.
- Track emerging trends in standard-setting and communicate the practical implications of these changes to the wider practice.
- Manage and support internal quality reviews and external regulatory inspections.
- Develop technical training programs and contribute to the organization's thought leadership and professional publications.
- Work with senior leadership to embed a culture of technical precision and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (ISCA) or equivalent qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia, etc.).
- 1015+ years of experience in audit or technical advisory roles, with a proven track record of managing complex regulatory frameworks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's financial reporting and auditing landscape, including deep familiarity with regulatory oversight bodies.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities, strong professional judgment, and the ability to confidently influence senior-level stakeholders.
