Job Summary
Lead the sales department to achieve key performance indicators by developing and executing strategic sales plans for Air Compressor systems and Boilers in the Manufacturing and Petrochemical industries, driving business growth and market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Analyze targeted market potentials and develop strategic plans to lead the team in achieving KPI objectives related to sales and market share
- Sell Air Compressor systems and/or Boilers directly to Manufacturing and Petrochemical industry clients, ensuring alignment with customer needs
- Generate and maintain a comprehensive database of customer targets, including competitor customers, segmented by sector for targeted sales actions
- Utilize installed base data to develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans
- Direct the sales team to conduct customer calls and visits, ensuring achievement of weekly and monthly quotation, order, and sales targets
- Monitor and review daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities to ensure execution of action plans and attainment of targets
- Manage and expand key account customer relationships to drive new market development and penetration
- Oversee Profit & Loss, debtor/creditor accounts, and stock management to ensure business profitability aligns with budget goals
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with customers and principals to secure long-term business success
- Lead and manage day-to-day departmental operations to maintain high performance and operational efficiency
- Conduct and present sales and market trend analysis reports to inform strategic decision-making
- Identify and acquire new key products to expand the department's business portfolio
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and drive departmental results
Required competencies and certifications
- Engineering Diploma or Degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in direct sales of compressors in the Singapore market
