Job Summary:
The Asst Manager/Manager is responsible for leading the programming team to plan, produce and evaluate all of Ding Yi Music Company's programmes, including concerts, educational shows, workshops and outreach activities. The Manager oversees production management, artist liaison, rehearsal scheduling and overall programme administration to ensure events run smoothly, efficiently and within budget. This role also manages the ensemble in programme-related matters, cultivates and maintains partnerships with arts institutions, schools and community stakeholders, and works closely with the marketing and PR team to achieve the company's artistic and community objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
. Lead the programming team in planning and implementation of all programmes such as concert production and outreach activities of the Company's programmes creatively, including artistic concerts, educational and outreach shows, workshops etc.
. In charge of management, coordination and execution of all programmes-related work, such as production management, artist management, programme planning, rehearsal planning in the most effective manner
. In charge of ensemble management which includes managing and liaising with musicians on programme-related work and rehearsals planning
. Identify, cultivate and manage new partnerships relating to programmes, community and related stakeholders such as arts institutions, schools, etc.
. Develop effective budgets for each programme, monitor the progress of each and adjust plans as necessary
. Work closely with marketing and public relations department for all the projects of the company
Requirements:
. Passionate about the arts/music
. Strong communication (verbal and written) abilities, in English and Mandarin
. Good project and time management skills, with a meticulous eye for detail
. Committed team player, responsible, reliable, and able to work with others to achieve company goals
. Possess excellent relationship management skills
. Knowledge of or experience working in the arts/music sector will be preferred
. Able to work on weeknight and weekends for programme duties
