About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant HR Manager to support our rapidly growing ambulance operations unit. This role focuses on Talent Acquisition & Management, including responsibilities in HR discipline to ensure fair, consistent, and professional HR governance. You will play a part to meet key manpower requirements-particularly for paramedics, medics, and ambulance drivers
What You'll Do:
1. End-to-End Talent Acquisition
Manage full-cycle recruitment for paramedics, medics, medic drivers, healthcare assistants, and other frontline roles.
Oversee sourcing channels including job portals, agencies, community outreach, social media, walk-ins, and referrals.
Conduct candidate screening, shortlisting, interview coordination, and offer management.
Maintain weekly hiring dashboards and track recruitment funnel metrics.
Ensure a professional and seamless experience for all candidates.
2. Mass Hiring Campaigns
Support and execute large-scale recruitment initiatives to meet aggressive timelines.
Coordinate with Operations and Training teams to meet weekly/monthly hiring targets.
Track candidates through security clearance, documentation, onboarding, and training.
3. Talent Retention
Monitor early attrition and implement proactive retention measures with the HR Manager.
Conduct probation reviews, stay interviews, and pulse checks for critical roles.
Analyze turnover trends and recommend improvements in engagement, referral schemes, and onboarding.
Prepare monthly retention reports with actionable insights.
4. HR Discipline Case Support
Assist HR Manager in handling disciplinary matters, including investigations, fact-finding, documentation, and staff queries.
Ensure cases are managed confidentially, professionally, and in line with Group HR policies.
Maintain accurate case logs and follow-up records.
Advise supervisors on basic disciplinary procedures and consistency in treatment.
5. HR Data, Reporting & Analytics
Keep hiring statistics, attrition reports, and disciplinary case logs up to date.
Support weekly and monthly dashboards for BU, HR Manager, and Group HR.
Provide early-warning insights on manpower gaps or emerging employee issues.
6. Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with BU operations, Ambulance, and Training teams.
Coordinate onboarding, manpower ramp-up, and weekly workforce meetings.
Build strong working relationships with recruitment partners and internal stakeholders.
What You Bring:
4 years of relevant experience with strong hands-on recruitment exposure
Experience in high-volume recruitment preferred (e.g. healthcare, service, or logistics)
Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline
Some exposure to handling disciplinary matters or supporting investigations
Good analytical and reporting abilities
Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Positive, proactive, and detail-oriented
