Job Responsibilities:
Interpret work orders, including sample specifications, applicable test standards, and acceptance criteria to ensure clear understanding of testing requirements.
Prepare draft reports and testing instructions to facilitate smooth test execution.
Coordinate with technicians to ensure proper understanding and execution of assigned testing activities.
Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely completion.
Assist in engaging customers to understand testing requirements and provide basic clarifications where required.
Participate in laboratory quality activities, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and verification processes.
Support test execution during peak periods, ensuring adherence to procedures and proper documentation of results.
Record and compile test data accurately and highlight any irregularities or concerns to senior engineers.
Maintain good laboratory practices, including housekeeping, safety, and compliance with quality standards.
Participate in cross-training initiatives to build competency across different testing techniques.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
0-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, QA/QC, or laboratory environments.
Basic understanding of engineering testing concepts, exposure to metals and materials testing is an advantage.
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 is an added advantage but not compulsory.
Responsible and reliable, with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through to completion.
Willing to learn and adapt across different testing areas in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Good analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a positive, customer-oriented attitude.
