The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

As a Social Content Creator, you will work alongside the Brand, Communications & Marketing team to crystallise this positioning. You will develop compelling and engaging content for Singlife's social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) to drive brand awareness, affinity, and sales. Responsibilities:

Social Content & Video Production

  • Lead the development of the Social Monthly Content Calendar, aligned with brand and business priorities.
  • Conceptualise, script, film and edit short-form video content (Intagram Reels, TikTok) that drives views, engagement and shareability.
  • Be comfortable appearing on camera to deliver educational or trend-driven content.
  • Produce static and video content that both entertains and informs, translating complex financial concepts into accessible stories that generate interest in products.
  • Identify trendjacking and newsjacking opportunities relevant to the brand and execute them with agility.
  • Optimise content for platform-native formats and behaviours.

Copywriting & Editorial

  • Write clear, compelling and structured copy across:
  1. Blog articles
  2. EDMs
  3. Webpages and landing pages
  4. Campaign messaging
  • Translate technical or regulatory-heavy topics into reader-friendly content without losing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging clarity and brand consistency.

Performance & Optimisation

  • Analyse content performance across social and digital channels, identifying what drives engagement, saves, shares and conversions.
  • Use insights to refine hooks, formats and messaging.
  • Present performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Campaign & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Communications, Design and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Partner with external creators and KOLs on content collaborations.
  • Support social activations, giveaways and live event coverage.
  • Monitor social channels and manage community responses within agreed turnaround times.

Community Management

  • Monitor Social Media channels, respond to comments and customer queries within a 24 TAT, tracking interactions for reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Provide support for any relevant Brand, Communications & Marketing requests and any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in:
  • Content creation, social media management or a creative/marketing agency environment.
  • Producing short-form video content from concept to edit.
  • Copywriting for digital platforms (blogs, newsletters, webpages).
  • Managing brand social channels with measurable growth in engagement.
  • Analysing performance metrics and optimising content accordingly.
  • Presenting ideas and defending creative rationale to stakeholders.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in short-form video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva).
  • Basic design literacy and visual storytelling sensibility.
  • Ability to script videos with strong 3-second hooks and narrative pacing.
  • Familiarity with content analytics dashboards (Meta, TikTok, Google Analytics).
