IntroductionThe Public Affairs function is made up of four pillars:
- Brand Building and Positioning
- Media, Transactions and Issues Management
- Sustainability Communications
- Corporate Management and Internal Comms
This role will primarily focus on Brand Building and Positioning, managing and growing Temasek's overall social media and digital presence, and effectively narrating brand stories to relevant audiences, but from time to time will also cover cross-team assignments across the other pillars.
As a social and digital native, the individual needs to have a finger on the pulse of the latest trends and developments in this rapidly evolving and dynamic space.
The successful candidate should be well acquainted with the creator economy and digital creators and will contribute to and execute content partnerships to effectively narrate stories to relevant audiences. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate the ability to conceptualise and craft engaging content across digital platforms: social media, landing pages, thought leadership articles, customer case studies, campaign toolkits, and internal brand materials
The candidate must be highly adaptable and can effectively contribute within matrix structures in a fast-paced and dynamic cross-functional, cross-cultural environment.
Responsibilities- Social media management: Assist in overseeing Temasek's overall social media presence in areas of content planning, production, and performance reporting.
- Digital media strategy: Implement content strategy and media plans on social/digital media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, YouTube and TikTok based on industry best practices.
- Data analytics: Analyse content performance and translate qualitative data into concrete recommendations for optimising click through into the website(s) via various social and digital media channels.
- Stakeholder management: Effectively communicate both editorial and technical requirements/challenges/proposals to content producers, project groups, and website stakeholders.
- Project management: Drive end-to-end execution of digital content initiatives, coordinating with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and reviewers to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Community management: Monitor and engage with online communities across social media platforms, responding to comments and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner to foster positive engagement and strengthen audience relationships.
- Support media and social monitoring: Reviewing daily monitoring outputs (traditional/social media reports, sense-making summaries), distilling insights, and escalating alerts on emerging issues to keep internal audiences apprised.
- Managing vendors to align outputs with objectives
- Message framing: Distil complex financial concepts and strategic priorities into accessible, audience-appropriate messaging for use across digital and social platforms.
Requirements- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in digital and social media marketing, analytics, and content management and development, ideally in a corporate environment. Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications and/or related fields preferred.
- Proficient working-level knowledge of digital content creation and management tools, such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sprout Social, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Keen understanding and interest in evolving audience needs across various digital and social media platforms.
- Content marketing experience across videos, short form and long form storytelling, and podcasts.
- Demonstrable experience managing digital agencies, vendors, and digital content partners in a multi-stakeholder setting.
- Excellent team player with the confidence to share with other team members or senior colleagues on areas of domain expertise, balanced with the capacity to learn about the company, its culture, its business, and its intended audiences.
