Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance the Equities Institutional Sales (EIS) business, including dashboards, reports, and analytics
- Analyze complex data sets to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities that drive business decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, trading, and technology, to identify and address data-related challenges
- Automate and streamline data processes to improve efficiency and data quality
- Own and deliver key reporting including MIS, Finance Flash, SDAV insights, T+1 trading reports and trading trend analytics (Fidessa/BOS)
- Manage Deals and CSA reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely insights
- Own and enhance key data platforms including Tableau Customer 360, ANALEC CRM and DigiLIB FIXP
- Lead data ingestion initiatives (e.g. BOS → FIXP), ensuring strong data governance, integrity and quality control
- Champion digital and data initiatives, partnering with GFM Data Chapter to drive automation, data product enhancements and AI/ML use cases (where relevant)
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support the EIS team in achieving their business objectives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization
- Ensure all outputs are compliant, controlled, explainable and aligned with internal policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a data analyst or related role, preferably within the financial services industry
- Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey data-driven recommendations to stakeholders
- Familiarity with financial markets, products, and industry terminology is preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
