Jurong Port's multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port's local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

The Job

  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support bi-annual budgeting and forecasting exercises for throughput, revenue, and operating budgets.
  • Assist the Deputy Manager (DM) in budget and forecast preparation, analysis, and consolidation.
  • Facilitate and coordinate review sessions with Business Units and consolidate inputs for PMPT discussions.
  • Analyse variances and provide insights to support management decision-making.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Conduct regular compliance checks on Business Unit SOPs to ensure adherence and identify gaps in operational practices.
  • Review commercial contracts to ensure consistency in rates, terms, and key parameters.
  • Highlight non-compliance issues and follow up with relevant stakeholders for corrective actions.
  • Reporting & Management Information
  • Prepare and coordinate management reports, including:
  • Monthly Business Review Meeting (BRM) materials
  • Weekly General Manager (GM) reports
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of data across reports.
  • Projects & Initiatives
  • Lead and coordinate customer survey initiatives, including data consolidation and analysis.
  • Support the implementation of tariff changes in accordance with MPA and government agency guidelines (e.g. GST increase, energy surcharge).
  • Consolidate Annual Workplans, Risk Registers, and Quarterly Meeting Reports (QMR) across Business Units.
  • Perform tariff code housekeeping to ensure accuracy and alignment with current practices.
  • Manage and review Schedules of Rates, engaging BU Managers on proposed changes and improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Science (Business Analytics), Finance, or equivalent.
  • 35 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Power BI is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
