Job Summary:
We are seeking a consultant/engineer to lead the deployment and configuration of Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO). This role involves setting up the supporting infrastructure, deploying and validating OpenShift and OpenStack clusters, performing acceptance testing, and providing documentation and knowledge transfer. The consultant will ensure the delivered platform is reliable, integrated, and production-ready.
What you will do:
- Prepare and deploy supporting infrastructure, including helper/bastion nodes, container registry, and Red Hat Satellite.
- Deploy and configure Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), including:
Cluster bootstrap and validation.
Configuring networking, logging, monitoring, RBAC, and identity integrations.
Setting up internal registry, certificates, backup, and compliance configurations. - Deploy and configure Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO), including:
Control Plane and Data Plane deployment.
Integration with storage, networking, and identity providers.
Configure redundancy, multipath, and network bonding for high availability. - Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test cases, executing functional validations, and documenting results.
- Deliver documentation and knowledge transfer sessions covering deployed instances, configurations, and best practices.
- Support infrastructure resiliency testing, including validating failover, redundancy, and recovery scenarios.
What you will bring:
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP).
- Proficiency in deploying and configuring enterprise-grade Linux systems (RHEL) including networking (VLANs, bonding, routing) and storage (FC SAN, multipath, RAID).
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure integration, such as Active Directory/LDAP, storage backends (e.g., Cinder/S3), logging/monitoring (Elastic, Splunk), and backup solutions.
- Solid understanding of cluster operations, container registries, compliance configurations, and high-availability networking.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and networking layers.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation and deliver effective knowledge transfer sessions.
- Experience with system testing and validation (UAT, failover, and resiliency testing).
