Job Description

About the Role

The incumbent will play a key role in supporting regional leadership with financial insights to drive strategic decision-making and growth, while monitoring and challenging financial performance to ensure targets are met and resources are optimized. The role also support regional projects and strategic initiatives, either in capacity as Regional Project Management Office (PMO) or as a project lead/member, in close collaboration with countries, regional business units, regional management, or headquarter.

Key Responsibilities:

Gross Margin Monitoring

  • Provide regular visibility on GM% bridge (price, mix, volume, cost) and trends
  • Close tracking of low-margin or loss-making transactions; push for improvement

Investment Controllership

  • Drive regional investment planning cycles; oversee investment governance & approval
  • Review business cases, ensure robust financial evaluations, track investment performance

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Helm the team to lead the region as process owner for all budgeting and forecasting cycles end-to-end, ensuring efficient execution, timely and with high quality outcomes that support strategic decision making and steering

Entity Controllership

  • The lead for all controlling matters relating to the entity
  • Manage intra-company allocations
  • Monitor and provide sound & timely analytics to relevant functional stakeholders of the entity

Regional Business Ops Controlling

  • Work closely with the Regional Ops team to monitor and analyze key business metrics, drive operational performance, support cost optimization and efficiency and ensure alignment between financial outcomes and operational goals

Ad-hoc Projects

  • Provide Controlling support for projects/initiatives, either as a supporting member and/or team leader as and when required

Qualifications

  • Recognized Degree in Accountancy / CPA / Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 8-12 years full-time relevant experience in progressive MNCs

Required Skills

  • SAP knowledge (preferably with CO module exposure)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Skills

  • Strong analytical ability; critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Hands-on, meticulous and resourceful; able to work independently in a matrix structure
  • Strong business partner and communicator; team player with positive attitude and drive
  • Ability to work with tight timelines; willingness to travel
