Job Description

The course aims at preparing students for their final dissertation. There will be two parts: In a first part, we will recall some of the key elements needed to produce original research: - How to write a literature review, - How to define a research question, - Research design, - Review of the various approaches available to tackle a research question (quantitative, qualitative, empirical), - Review of quantitative methods needed to analyse empirical data and draw objective conclusions at a high level of statistical significance (regressions, tests). A second part will be more specifically tailored to the goal of writing the final dissertation.

Requirement:

  • Mark Individual or Group Assignment if required.
  • Period of teaching: 15 hrs
  • To understand the content of the module well, communicate with the module leader to understand the expectations on the module, work closely with UP programme director and module lead on the content for delivery.
  • To attend SIM and UP lecturers meetings.
  • The candidate will need to meet with the Programme Team and UP faculty before, during and after the module to discuss about the module delivery and student feedback. Additional meetings may be arranged as necessary.

Job Requirement

  • A PHD or Master's Degree in related discipline from a reputable university
  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level
  • 5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage
  • To do a 10-15 minutes presentation during the SIM interview on a provided topic (if shortlisted).
