We are supporting a regional private credit investment platform with a strong Asia-Pacific focus, backed by institutional capital and an experienced investment team. The firm specialises in direct lending and bespoke, asset-backed financing solutions, partnering closely with founders, sponsors, and corporates across multiple sectors.
This is a front-end investment role with full exposure to the private credit lifecycle, suited for candidates who want to build long-term careers in credit investing rather than advisory or sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end execution of private credit and growth debt transactions, from origination through to closing and monitoring
- Build and maintain financial models, downside cases, and sensitivity analyses to assess risk-return profiles
- Conduct credit underwriting including assessment of cash flows, leverage, collateral, covenants, and security packages
- Coordinate and participate in commercial, financial, legal, and ESG due diligence
- Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal investment committee review
- Assist with term sheet negotiation and loan documentation, working closely with external legal counsel
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and early warning indicators post-investment
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in private credit, private debt, investment banking, structured finance, project finance, or buy-side investing
- Strong grounding in credit analysis and financial modelling
- Practical understanding of capital structures, loan documentation, and downside protection
- Comfortable operating in a lean, execution-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and sound investment judgement
