The Associate will be part of Temasek's investment team covering APAC markets (excluding China and India), supporting the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management of investments across sectors.
This role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle within a long-term, value-oriented global investment platform.
Responsibilities
Support the identification, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across APAC markets (excluding China and India) across private equity, public equity, and fund investments/co-investments.
Identify and evaluate market and industry trends, as well as conduct research to form views on the sectoral value chain and craft investment thesis.
Support workflows such as conducting due diligence, performing financial benchmarking and valuation analysis, and crafting a financial model.
Support the team in the end-to-end investment and divestment process, including preparation of presentations and investment memos for internal evaluation and committee approval.
Monitor performance of existing portfolio companies and support the team's portfolio company engagements and value creation initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields
Preferably 1-3 years of relevant work experience with a top tier buy-side firms (private equity), investment bank, or corporate finance / corporate strategy, and M&A
Analytical with strong foundation in financial modelling and valuation capabilities
Proficiency in research platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other data sources
Familiarity with AI-enabled research tools and automation platforms to enhance analytical productivity is advantageous
