Main Function of the role:
We are looking for a detail-focused and ambitious Group Finance Associate to join our Finance team. This graduate-level opportunity is ideal for someone looking to develop strong foundational skills in financial operations, internal controls, and process improvement. The core responsibility of this role is to review and monitor the quality and accuracy of Accounts Payable invoice processing, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and external requirements (including SOX). While you will not be solely processing invoices, you will maintain a close link to AP operations and support across the end-to-end process, enabling flexibility and career development
Key task and responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing Review & Quality Control:
- • Perform regular quality assurance reviews of AP invoice processing activities across the team.
- • Monitor invoice data accuracy, coding, tax treatment, and adherence to approval workflows.
- • Identify errors or exceptions and provide timely feedback to the AP team.
- • Support the development and refinement of invoice processing standards, templates, and controls.
- Accounts Payable Operations Support:
- • Provide backup support for invoice entry and processing during high-volume periods or staff
- absences.
- • Assist with weekly payment runs and urgent payment requests when required.
- • Support supplier account reconciliations and vendor data maintenance.
- • Contribute to weekly and monthly KPI reporting on invoice volumes, quality, and turnaround.
- Financial Controls & Compliance:
- • Support documentation and testing of internal controls, including those aligned with SOX
- requirements.
- • Assist with internal and external audit preparation and documentation.
- Journal Entry & Month-End Support:
- • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries with appropriate backup and reconciliation.
- • Contribute to account reconciliations and month-end reporting schedules.
- Finance Projects & Process Improvement:
- • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives across finance and AP functions.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement finance systems enhancements.
Minimum knowledge & experience required:
• Recent graduate (or near completion) of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related
field
• Strong attention to detail and interest in process improvement and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, analytical mindset
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is a plus
• Understanding of need for financial control environment and adherence to procedures
