What you'll do:
As an Associate Group Finance, you will be immersed in a variety of tasks that underpin the smooth operation of the finance function.
- Perform regular quality assurance reviews of accounts payable invoice processing activities across the team, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
- Monitor invoice data accuracy, coding, tax treatment, and adherence to approval workflows to maintain compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
- Identify errors or exceptions in invoice processing and provide timely feedback to the accounts payable team for continuous improvement.
- Support the development and refinement of invoice processing standards, templates, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide backup support for invoice entry and processing during periods of high volume or staff absences, ensuring business continuity.
- Assist with weekly payment runs and urgent payment requests when required by verifying invoice readiness and resolving any issues promptly.
- Support supplier account reconciliations and vendor data maintenance to ensure accurate records are maintained at all times.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly KPI reporting on invoice volumes, quality metrics, and turnaround times for management review.
- Assist with documentation and testing of internal controls aligned with regulatory requirements such as SOX, supporting audit readiness.
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries with appropriate backup documentation as part of month-end close activities.

- Bachelor's degree (recently completed or near completion) in Accounting, Finance or related field is required for this graduate-level opportunity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential for managing data accurately across various finance tasks.
- A keen interest in process improvement combined with strong attention to detail ensures you consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills-both written and oral-enable you to interact effectively with colleagues across departments as well as external suppliers.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure allows you to meet deadlines reliably even during busy periods or when handling urgent requests.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous but not mandatory willingness to learn new technologies is highly valued.
- Understanding of financial control environments helps you adhere strictly to procedures while supporting compliance initiatives.
- Numeracy skills are important for performing reconciliations, journal entries, and other core accounting functions accurately.
