As Associate General Counsel, Regulatory/Compliance (APAC), you will play a critical role in shaping how CoreWeave expands and operates across Asia-Pacific as our business and the regulatory landscape continue to evolve. You will help anticipate what's ahead, navigate novel and complex multi-jurisdictional requirements, and build the legal and compliance foundation that enables responsible growth across the region. About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director & Lead Managing Counsel, Privacy, Regulatory & Compliance, you will serve as the senior regional legal advisor and program owner for regulatory and compliance matters across Asia-Pacific. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will shape CoreWeave's regional regulatory strategy, lead complex multi-jurisdictional matters, and build scalable compliance frameworks that support responsible growth. You will advise senior leaders and partner closely with Government Affairs, Product, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Commercial Legal, Supply Chain, Data Center Operations, Finance, HR, and other teams to translate evolving legal requirements into practical business decisions, controls, and evidence of compliance.

• Set and execute CoreWeave's APAC regulatory and compliance strategy, including regional priorities, risk assessments, governance frameworks, escalation standards, and implementation roadmaps aligned with global legal and business objectives.
• Lead legal and regulatory diligence for entry into and expansion across APAC markets, identifying licensing, registration, foreign investment, data localization, infrastructure, operating-model, and other jurisdiction-specific requirements and recommending practical launch conditions.
• Monitor, interpret, and operationalize laws and regulatory developments affecting cloud and AI infrastructure across the region, including privacy and data protection, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, telecommunications and digital services, international trade, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, competition, consumer protection, environmental, and supply-chain requirements.
• Serve as a primary regulatory advisor to APAC business and functional leaders on strategic initiatives, significant transactions, product and infrastructure launches, customer and partner engagements, and other matters presenting novel or material regional risk.
• Build and mature scalable regional compliance programs, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, control mappings, approval frameworks, training, monitoring, third-party diligence, decision records, and audit-ready evidence.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Privacy, and Data Center Operations to embed applicable regulatory requirements into product design, technical architecture, data flows, security practices, infrastructure deployment, and operational processes.
• Advise on APAC trade and supply-chain compliance, including export controls, sanctions, import and customs requirements, technology transfers, restricted-party screening, end-use and end-user diligence, and escalation of higher-risk transactions or jurisdictions.
• Lead significant regulatory inquiries, audits, investigations, licensing matters, and government engagements across APAC; develop response strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee local counsel, and drive remediation and follow-up.
• Provide senior legal guidance on regional cybersecurity incidents, regulatory reporting, government data-access requests, and other critical escalations, ensuring timely, consistent, and defensible decisions across affected jurisdictions.
• Partner with Government Affairs and regional stakeholders to anticipate regulatory change, assess business impact, inform policy positions, and support constructive engagement with regulators, industry groups, and standards bodies.
• Manage regional outside counsel and specialist advisors effectively, including scope, quality, budget, and development of durable internal knowledge and playbooks.
  
  

Who You Are

• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial experience advising technology, cloud, digital infrastructure, or other highly regulated businesses across multiple APAC jurisdictions; a mix of law firm, government, and in-house experience is preferred.
• Law degree or equivalent qualification and admission to practice in at least one relevant jurisdiction, with any practicing certificate or authorization required for the assigned work location.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a senior regional legal advisor, independently resolve novel and high-impact regulatory issues, and lead complex matters from initial assessment through implementation and remediation.
• Deep expertise in several regulatory areas relevant to CoreWeave's APAC operations, such as privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, AI governance, cloud or telecommunications regulation, critical infrastructure, international trade and sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, competition, or supply-chain compliance.
• Significant experience conducting multi-jurisdictional market-entry and expansion assessments and translating divergent local requirements into coherent regional strategies and scalable controls.
• Experience designing, implementing, or overseeing compliance programs, including policies, governance processes, training, monitoring, investigations, third-party diligence, and evidence demonstrating compliance.
• Experience engaging directly with regulators and government authorities and managing sensitive inquiries, audits, investigations, licensing matters, or enforcement-related issues across APAC.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience advising a high-growth cloud, AI, SaaS, data center, infrastructure, semiconductor, or other technology company.
• Meaningful experience across several major APAC markets, such as Singapore, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, or Southeast Asia, and familiarity with the practical differences among their regulatory and enforcement environments.
• Experience advising on data center development or operations, regulated cloud services, critical infrastructure, cross-border data transfers, AI regulation, or deployment of advanced computing hardware.
• Experience building a regional legal or compliance function, integrating acquired businesses, or scaling programs during rapid international expansion.
