The Associate Engineer (Facilities) will be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and reliable performance of critical building systems at SPH Print Centre.
- Perform daily facilities operations, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting of M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and performance monitoring of critical M&E systems, including chillers, ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation), cooling towers, pumps, and electrical distribution systems.
- Supervise and inspect maintenance work performed by external contractors on M&E, fire alarm, and other critical equipment to ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
- Assist in project coordination for facility improvements, system upgrades, and equipment replacement projects.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in facility management or industrial plant maintenance.
- Good foundational understanding of chiller plant operations, electrical distribution systems, and fire safety systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/SCADA, building automation, and control systems would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
- Able to work rotating shifts including night shifts, and on weekends and public holidays
- Physically fit and prepared to work overtime, when necessary, particularly during critical maintenance or plant shutdown periods.
