Role and Key Responsibilities

Associate with expertise in major corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and/or private equity (PE) work. This role is a key appointment within our dynamic team, and offers an excellent platform for success, leveraging your expertise in a collaborative environment. The Associate will be involved in high-profile transactions, providing strategic advice and support on all aspects of M&A, as well as PE investments in Germany. They will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and deliver tailored solutions that drive value

As part of our globally-recognised Corporate team, you will engage in a diverse range of high-impact work, handling a number of M&A transactions annually. Our team serves a wide array of regional and international corporate and institutional clients. Your responsibilities will encompass our core Corporate services, including:

  • Cross-border M&A (public and private): Facilitate and manage mergers and acquisitions across different jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Joint Ventures: Structure and negotiate joint venture agreements to foster collaborative business ventures.
  • Equity Capital Markets: Advise on equity offerings, including IPOs and secondary offerings, to support clients capital-raising activities.
  • Private Equity: Provide expert guidance on private equity investments, from initial funding to exit strategies.
  • Corporate Reorganisations: Lead and collaborate on corporate restructuring initiatives to optimise business operations and enhance value.
  • Corporate Governance: Ensure robust governance frameworks are in place, advising on best practices and regulatory compliance.

Skills and Experience

  • Specialise in M&A and/or PE Work: Demonstrated expertise in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
  • Possess Strong Technical Skills: Ideally with an international awareness and focus to their work.
  • Exhibitan Excellent Academic Record: Ability to manage, mentor and support more junior team members effectively.
  • Deliver High-Quality Client Service: Create and deliver sustainable, high-quality client service while considering clients wider business objectives.
  • Engage in Business Development: Keen to get involved in business development and contribute to the practice's growth.
