The Associate Director, Product/Category/Segment Marketing is responsible for defining and strengthening the market position of assigned products or brands within the broader product strategy. This role combines market research, competitor analysis, and collaboration with sales teams to drive impactful marketing initiatives that enhance product awareness, adoption, and revenue growth. Beyond go-to-market execution, the Associate Director ensures products meet evolving market needs, leveraging insights to influence future product direction. The role also involves articulating product benefits, delivering compelling customer messaging, and representing the brand through demonstrations, presentations, and marketing collateral.
Portfolio Management: Lead governance and delivery of significant projects and programs, ensuring outcomes are clearly defined and achieved.
Product & Solution Development: Evaluate feasibility and relevance of complex product proposals oversee development activities and guide specialist teams.
Product Lifecycle Management: Own end-to-end product lifecycle, from development to marketing, ensuring competitive positioning and market relevance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing needs and concerns to support effective communication and decision-making.
Budgeting: Develop and manage budget plans in alignment with organizational goals.
Capability Building: Serve as subject matter expert, maintaining industry accreditations and staying current with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices.
Marketing Execution: Oversee marketing strategy and delivery for assigned products or services, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Brand Strategy & Positioning: Act as brand ambassador, ensuring consistency in brand positioning and effectiveness across campaigns.
Impact Assessment: Define metrics, evaluate marketing activities, and recommend improvements based on performance analysis.
Data Analysis: Provide authoritative recommendations with significant business impact, leveraging data-driven insights for short- and long-term strategy.
