Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Associate Director,Private Equity Fund to join our investment team. This role involves overseeing fund operations, deal origination, due diligence, portfolio management, and exit strategies for high-value investments in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in private equity, investment banking, or asset management, with experience in financial modeling, deal structuring, and portfolio optimization.

Job Responsibilities

Investment & Deal Sourcing:

  • Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities across various industries in Southeast Asia.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, financial advisors, corporate leaders, and entrepreneurs.
  • Lead negotiations and structuring of investment deals, ensuring favorable terms for the fund.

Due Diligence & Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment for target companies.
  • Perform commercial, operational, and legal due diligence to assess investment viability.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.

Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor and manage portfolio companies, working closely with management teams to drive growth and optimize value.
  • Implement strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and financial restructuring where necessary.
  • Track financial performance, ensuring alignment with fund objectives and exit strategies.

Exit Strategies & Fund Performance:

  • Develop and execute exit strategies, including trade sales, IPOs, and secondary transactions.
  • Optimize fund returns by actively managing divestments and liquidity events.
  • Provide regular fund performance updates and reports to investors and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields. An MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or asset management.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring expertise.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of investment trends, market dynamics, and regulatory landscapes in Southeast Asia. Healthcare and technology sector knowledge will be a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Singapore and Malaysia
  • Ability to speak/write in Chinese will be a plus to liaise with our Chinese counterparts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive and strategic thinking with a focus on value creation.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
