Associate Director, New Product Introduction
Responsibilities
. Define and lead NPI manufacturing strategy, standards, tools, and best practices to ensure product quality, safety, manufacturability, and on-time launches.
. Drive early design engagement using DFM, DFA, DFT, P-FMEA, and mistake-proofing to optimize product, process capability, and test coverage.
. Oversee manufacturing readiness, production performance, quality plans, risk management, KPIs, and compliance across internal and supplier operations.
. Lead process optimization, automation, test standardization, cost reduction initiatives, and sustainability considerations across global manufacturing sites.
. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to assess risks, resolve issues, and align manufacturing capabilities with business needs.
. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing NPI team through clear objectives, KPI management, coaching, resource planning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related discipline preferred) with minimum 15 years of experience in NPI and Manufacturing Engineering, with 10+ years in people and team leadership roles.
. Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, basic electronics, injection molding, and consumer product manufacturing.
. Proven ability to lead through influence, manage cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and drive alignment across stakeholders.
. Proactive, resilient, self-driven, analytical, and willing to travel extensively to support suppliers and global manufacturing operations.
