Associate Director / Director, Financial Services Audit

We are seeking an accomplished financial services audit leader to join our client's growing leadership team in Singapore.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced audit professional to play a pivotal role in expanding their financial services audit practice, with a particular focus on banking, capital markets, payments and fintech.

You will lead complex, high-value audit engagements for sophisticated financial institutions, work closely with audit partners to shape client strategy and practice growth, and play a key role in developing market-leading technical capability within the team.

This opportunity is ideal for a high-performing senior manager or an established associate director ready to step up into the leadership team within a globally recognised professional services platform.

As a senior leader within the practice, you will:

• Lead and oversee complex statutory and regulatory audit engagements for financial services clients, with a focus on banking, capital markets, payments and fintech

• Drive end-to-end engagement leadership, including planning, execution, review and finalisation

• Assume full accountability for audit quality, technical excellence, budget performance and delivery timelines

• Manage a portfolio of strategic financial services clients and build trusted senior stakeholder relationships

• Partner with audit partners to drive client account growth and strategic engagement opportunities

• Lead engagement economics including resource planning, budgeting, billing and collections

• Provide technical leadership on complex accounting, audit and regulatory matters relevant to the financial services sector

• Monitor evolving accounting standards, regulatory developments and industry trends to proactively advise clients and teams

• Build, mentor and develop high-performing teams through coaching, succession planning and capability building

• Contribute to practice development, operational excellence and market positioning initiatives

• Support business development efforts including proposals, client pursuits and relationship expansion opportunities

• Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions to financial services clients

Qualifications:

• You will have a good Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related discipline alongside professional qualifications such as CA (Singapore), CPA, ACCA or equivalent

• A minimum of 8 solid years of external audit experience, ideally within a leading professional services environment

• Strong experience auditing clients across banking, capital markets, payments, Fintech and/or other regulated financial institutions

• Deep technical knowledge of Singapore and international auditing standards, financial reporting requirements, financial services regulatory frameworks, risk management and compliance considerations within regulated entities

• Proven track record managing complex audit portfolios

• Strong commercial acumen and client relationship management capability

• Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience
