About the Role

We are seeking an experienced clinical leader to drive clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement across our healthcare services.

The incumbent is expected to strengthen clinical governance and patient safety systems. Lead accreditation readiness and quality improvement initiatives. Our services include nursing homes, home care and home hospice, and community healthcare programmes, serving patients across the continuum of intermediate and long-term care. This role reports to the Clinical Director.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Clinical Governance & Quality Leadership

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's Clinical Governance Framework, ensuring clear accountability across the Board, management, and clinical leadership team.
  • Support the Clinical Governance Committee and drive the annual Quality & Patient Safety Plan with measurable KPIs.
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, and continuous quality improvement across clinical teams.

2. Patient Safety, Risk & Incident Management

  • Oversee organisational incident reporting and management systems, including falls, medication errors, pressure injuries, infection outbreaks, and near-miss events.
  • Facilitate root cause analyses (RCA) and ensure timely follow-through of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor clinical risk registers and support mitigation strategies to strengthen patient safety.

3. Accreditation, Compliance & Clinical Standards

  • Lead organisational readiness for ACHSI (or equivalent) accreditation, including gap analysis, policy standardisation, and departmental preparation for surveys and tracer audits.
  • Support the development and review of clinical policies, SOPs, and governance standards.
  • Ensure alignment with MOH licensing requirements (HCSA), AIC standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

4. Clinical Audit, Data & Performance Improvement

  • Implement and oversee organisation-wide clinical audit programmes and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key quality indicators such as falls, pressure injuries, medication errors, and infection control metrics.
  • Analyse trends and present clinical performance dashboards and insights to senior leadership to guide improvement priorities.

Qualifications, Competencies and Experience

  • Registered Nurse (SNB) or registered Allied Health Professional
  • 810 years clinical experience, with 35 years in quality/governance leadership
  • Experience in community care / ILTC / nursing home sector in Singapore
  • Strong knowledge of MOH regulatory standards
