As Associate Design Director (3D), you will lead the conceptualisation and visual direction of projects from ideation to completion across both 2D and 3D mediums, with a strong focus on 3D experiential design. This role will be reporting into our Design Director.
What you'll be doing
- Translate creative concepts into high-quality 3D renders and visualisations that clearly communicate the design intent and elevate the overall creative idea.
- Ensure all 3D renders outputs are aesthetically refined, detailed and aligned with the creative concept, helping clients clearly visualise the brand experience.
- Contribute actively to creative ideas and problem-solving. While working closely with the creative team to ensure ideas and visual language remain cohesive, on brand and aligned with the creative concept.
- Oversee 3D design work and guiding designers to maintain strong visual quality and conceptual integrity.
- Manage and expand the regional design team, including 3D designers in Singapore and other markets. Support team resourcing by building and managing a strong freelance design pool to scale capabilities and strengthen the agency's creative output.
- Present design concepts and visualisations to clients with confidence, using strong renders and compelling visuals to effectively communicate and sell the creative vision.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure designs are of high quality, buildable and aligned with budget and timeline, while maintaining the integrity of the creative concept.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, actively integrating relevant innovations into the design process to continually elevate the quality and impact of visual outputs.
- Contribute to team culture and uphold Jack Morton values, fostering collaboration and a positive creative environment.
The person we are looking for, would ideally have
- 8-10 years experience in an event-based industry design house
- Excellent design skills backed up by software knowledge. You're a guru in CAD and Autodesk 3ds Max. Knowledge in SketchUp and/or Cinema4D is a plus
- Strong aesthetic sense with intuitive and informed understanding of what makes a truly great marketing and brand experience.
- Hands-on willingness, involving in all stages of the creative process: ideation to creative presentation to project execution.
- Experience in managing and working with in-house and freelance design resources.
- Demonstrated ability to input and voice your point of view, and lead a team of 2D and 3D designers
- Good organisational skills and excellent communications skill, fluent in spoken and written English
