Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design and construction execution of civil and structural projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Oversee and manage construction activities for infrastructure projects, including power plants, sewerage treatment facilities, and related civil works, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Review, verify, and execute design works, providing technical guidance to project teams and ensuring adherence to specifications, safety, and sustainability standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments, preparing comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations for project planning and execution.
- Lead environmental management initiatives, monitor environmental parameters, prepare statutory submissions, and implement measures to improve project sustainability and minimize environmental impact.
- Manage tendering processes from concept development, specification drafting, contractor evaluation, to award of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, authorities, and contractors to resolve technical and site issues, maintaining effective communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide 2 junior engineers, fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement within project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and civil/structural projects, preferably with exposure to power, water, or environmental projects.
- Proven track record in full-cycle project management, including tendering, design coordination, construction supervision, and project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, design standards, construction methods, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex project interfaces.
- Experience with environmental compliance, sustainability practices, and reporting is highly desirable.
