Job Description

The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time.

Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan's leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Job Summary:

  • The Business Development will be responsible for supporting business growth by developing new relationships with FA companies.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with some understanding of FA market and a passion for connecting with clients to offer solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Strategy: To identify and support opportunities, and potential clients within the business community in Singapore.
  • Lead Generation: Develop FA relationships and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects through networking.
  • Solution Presentation: Support presentation of solutions to prospective clients, articulating the value propositions clearly and effectively.
  • Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in FA companies, understanding their unique needs and challenges related to their financial planning
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams member, communicating requirements to ensure that client expectations are met and/or exceeded.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales pipeline, engagement plan and market analysis to the management team.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from building relationship and seamless client experience.

Requirements:

  • Preferably with at least 3 years experience in the Financial Institution
  • Updated knowledge of Life and Health Insurance.
  • A proven track record in managing advisors and processes.
  • Recognized university degree or at least GCE A level or Diploma with relevant professional insurance qualifications
