Job Description
As the AVP, Risk & Compliance, you will lead risk, compliance and governance activities for Group Insurance, ensuring effective controls, regulatory compliance and strong risk management practices. Working closely with business leaders and corporate functions, you will strengthen governance frameworks, oversee audit and regulatory matters, drive process improvements, and promote a strong risk and control culture across the department.

- Serve as the Department Risk Officer (DRO) and Department Compliance Officer (DCO).
- Lead risk, compliance and governance activities across Group Insurance.
- Oversee risk assessments, incidents and control reviews.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Coordinate audit, regulatory review and remediation activities.
- Review and enhance business processes and control frameworks.
- Support business transformation initiatives from a risk and governance perspective.
- Oversee outsourcing and third-party governance requirements.
- Monitor key risks and provide governance reporting to management.
- Promote a strong culture of risk awareness, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Has a degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Has at least 5 years of experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit, internal controls, or insurance operations.
- Understands risk management, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Has experience managing audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation initiatives.
- Demonstrates strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Is proactive, analytical, and passionate about strengthening controls and improving processes.
- Professional certifications and insurance industry experience will be an advantage.
