Manage and support the overall operations such as but not limited to derivatives processing, confirmation and fund settlement, and effective control of the group related transactions.
Lead the derivatives team.
Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions and resolve issues including handling stakeholder's complaints and escalating all issues promptly.
Introduce effective risk management control features and policies to minimize errors and clerical mistakes taking in consideration our Bank's policies and procedures.
Assist Group Head and Deputy Head in manpower planning and staff development for the group including staff appraisals.
Ensure group operates in accordance with local laws and regulations, Head Office policies and branch procedures.
Govern and control activities offshored.
Ensure prompt submission of statistical reports to local management, Head Office, and MAS.
Take note of recommendations and/or comments made by MAS/External/Internal/Head Office auditors and make appropriate checks on implementations.
Ensure staff are well versed with BCP procedures and processes to participate in regular BCP drills.
Requirements:
Degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent
More than 5 years relevant experience in derivatives processing, confirmation, and fund settlement, and 1-2 years of experience as a team lead.
Possess critical thinking skills, and able to link diverse information to build a full picture and spot inconsistencies.
Meticulous, attention to detail with a risk and control mindset.
Good oral & written communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills
