Purpose and Scope:
- The Electrical QP plays a pivotal role as a Project Lead and Subject Matter Expert to all Electrical functions in a project; the QP is responsible for the design and supervisory work, and any combination of Electrical engineering work. These involves inspection, investigations, evaluation, or testing and commissioning. In addition, the QP is required to perform essential endorsements.
- As an AVP of the team, you will be required to step up as a Project Director / vice-functional lead to ensure proper project execution on mega or multiple projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the checking and design of electrical works from concept to detailed design and provision of PE supervisory works for projects
- Endorsement of the authorities submissions, supervision & apply for certificate of completion as Professional Engineer (Electrical) for the projects undertaken by company.
- Conversant in local code and authority requirements, ensuring project compliance to the requirements.
- Able to perform analysis and guide engineers to analyze and provide technical advice and solutions when working with stakeholders
- Carry out project management, planning, financial management of project, contract administration, ensure key deadlines are met and team work together effectively
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders for civil & structure, architectural, mechanical and electrical works
- Preparation of tender documents and specifications
- Design management, coordination with contractors, subcontractors and external consultants
- Proactive communication, mentoring and guiding the reporting Engineers and Designers for learning and development
- Ensure the smooth completion of the project within schedule and budget
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering accredited by Professional Engineer Board, Singapore.
- Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore/ Specialized Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the industry, preferably in consultancy firm
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
