Purpose and Scope:
The AVP/Senior Principal C&S Engineer plays a pivotal role as a Project Lead to a project; the PE is responsible for the design and supervisory work, and any combination of Civil & Structural engineering work. These involves inspection, investigations, evaluation, or testing and commissioning. In addition, the QP is required to perform essential endorsements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the checking and design of civil and structural works from concept to detailed design and provision of QP supervisory works for projects
- Conversant and ensure that project complies to local code and authority requirement
- Preparation of submissions to statutory agencies and authorities
- Able to perform analysis and/or guide engineers to analyze building or civil structures and provide technical advice and solutions when working with stakeholders
- Able to take on Project Manager or Project Director appointment
- Carry out project management, planning, financial management of project, contract administration, ensure key deadlines are met and staff work together effectively
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders for civil structure, architectural, mechanical and electrical works
- Preparation of tender documents and specifications
- Ensure design for safety is adhered to and manage the works of RE and RTO on site
- Design management, coordination with contractors, subcontractors and external consultants
- Proactive communication, mentoring and guiding the reporting Engineers and Designers to develop their potential
- Ensure the smooth completion of the project within schedule and budget
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in C&S Engineering accredited by Professional Engineer Board, Singapore.
- Registered Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore/ Specialized Professional Engineer
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the industry, preferably in consultancy firm
- Conversant in Engineering analysis design software, BIM software, Geotechnical Software
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
