Job Summary

Lead and support senior bankers in originating, structuring, syndicating, and executing debt transactions while managing issuer-rating agency relationships and collaborating across departments to deliver successful debt capital market solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or assist senior bankers in originating, structuring, syndicating, and executing debt and debt-related transactions to achieve successful deal closure
  • Facilitate issuer relationships with rating agencies to secure optimal credit ratings for debt issuances
  • Prepare and update client-facing marketing materials, including presentations, pitchbooks, and market updates, to support deal origination and client engagement
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and other departments to address deal-related matters and ensure regulatory adherence
  • Assist with KYC, onboarding, and account opening processes for issuer clients to enable smooth transaction execution
  • Monitor and analyze current financial market developments, focusing on fixed income and credit, to inform deal strategies and client advice
  • Apply strong analytical and numeracy skills to evaluate transaction structures and market conditions
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Utilize Bloomberg and Dealogic platforms to support market analysis and transaction execution
  • Demonstrate resilience, motivation, and a proactive learning attitude to meet role demands and contribute to team success
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare reports and presentations
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment, taking initiative to assume additional responsibilities as needed

Required competencies and certifications

  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Bloomberg and Dealogic platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information
  • Excellent analytical skills including numeracy to assess financial data and transaction viability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative to support business objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with a proven track record in debt capital markets or related fixed income/corporate finance disciplines
