Team

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI-driven solutions, with a strong focus on Generative AI (GenAI). This role is primarily hands-on and technical, responsible for developing production-grade AI applications while working closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions deliver real business value. You will contribute across the full AI lifecycle, from experimentation and model development to deployment and operationalisation.

Key Responsibilities

AI Engineering & Development (Primary Focus)

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and Generative AI models for real-world business use cases.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AI/ML pipelines and platforms using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
• Implement LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Support MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model versioning, deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to transform prototypes and proofs of concept into production-ready AI applications.
• Ensure AI solutions adhere to Responsible AI principles, data privacy requirements, and governance standards.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with business and product stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute technical inputs to solution design, timelines, and delivery planning.
• Support vendor-led implementations by providing technical oversight, integration guidance, and quality assurance.
• Participate in testing, validation, and continuous improvement of AI solutions based on user feedback and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AI engineering, machine learning, or applied data science roles.
• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and Generative AI architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience developing production-quality code.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerisation technologies.
• Practical experience with tools and frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with MLOps / LLMOps tools and practices.
• Working knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of AI governance, risk, and compliance standards.
• Prior experience in the insurance or financial services domain is an advantage.
