Emaris Shipping Pte Ltd is looking for a motivated Assistant Technical Superintendent to join our Technical Department. This role is an excellent opportunity for a passionate marine engineer with sailing experience to transition into a shore-based ship management career in the bunker tanker segment.
1. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily technical operations and maintenance of bunker tankers
- Supervise vessel condition, performance, and ensure compliance with statutory and class requirements
- Coordinate with vessels during inspections, flag state and class surveys, and SIRE inspections
- Support planning and execution of machinery overhauls, repairs, and dry dockings
- Monitor and manage spare parts procurement and technical stores inventory
- Ensure timely upkeep of vessel certifications and technical documentation
- Provide technical support to the Marine Department on operational matters
2. Requirements
- Must have sailed as a Junior Engineer on bunker tankers - preferrably with special limits certificates.
- Strong hands-on experience with machinery overhaul and repair
- Experience with class surveys, SIRE inspections, and statutory audits
- Exposure to dry docking of bunker tankers is highly preferred
- At least 1 year of shore-based experience in a ship management company
- Sound knowledge of vessel technical operations, repairs, and certification management
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents only
