Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented tax professional to support the Head of Global tax on the Group's tax compliance matters globally. This role will work closely with the local finance teams, treasury, legal and external tax consultants.

The Assistant Tax Manager (Group Tax and Finance) would be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and manage direct and indirect tax matters for the Group entities in coordination with the finance teams and tax consultants in Asia, Europe and America regions.
  • Provide tax audit support to the Group entities.
  • Collate data from finance for annual tax incentive reportings.
  • Review of monthly/quarterly intercompany calculations prepared by the local finance to ensure alignment with the Group's transfer pricing policies.
  • Coordinate with the local finance and external consultants on the entities related party transactions and other associated data required for transfer pricing master and local files.
  • Review entities year end income tax provisions for the Group reporting purposes, including true-ups tax calculation, tax footnote, reconciliations of tax G/L accounts, instructions to finance for tax entry postings.
  • Identify opportunities on tax automation process and reporting improvement initiatives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure tax schedules, documentation and interco agreements are in place and maintained to support the tax position.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tax related projects as needed.

Requirements

  • University Degree, or professional qualification in Accountancy/ Tax.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in commercial or tax firms.
  • Prior experiences with income tax, tax accounting and transfer pricing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Meticulous and able to multi-task to work on different tax activities as this scope covers multiple locations
