The Company

Our client is a reputable international engineering and infrastructure firm with a strong footprint in Singapore's transportation sector, known for delivering large-scale urban transit solutions. This is a pivotal role for an engineering professional looking to gain high-level exposure to sophisticated rail systems within a structured, safety-first environment.

The Role

Working within the Technical Services Business Unit and reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the critical Testing & Commissioning (T&C) phase of electrical and signalling systems. This role ensures that all installations meet stringent safety, quality, and operational requirements before project handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Testing: Lead and supervise T&C activities associated with LRT electrical and signalling infrastructure.

  • Procedures & Compliance: Assist in the preparation, review, and implementation of T&C procedures and checklists.

  • Fault Rectification: Provide technical support for troubleshooting and the rectification of faults identified during the testing phase.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate effectively with T&C Managers, Design Engineers, and Site Supervisors, as well as external stakeholders including government authorities and transport operators.

  • Reporting: Ensure all testing results are documented accurately and delivered according to project timelines.


Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of Electrical T&C experience. Candidates with prior experience in MRT/LRT signalling or electrical systems will be highly regarded.

  • Technical Proficiency: Conversant with electrical, control, or signalling systems and familiar with local regulatory standards for rail projects.

  • Commitment: A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work night shifts as required by the project's testing schedule.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and a team-oriented mindset.

  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office and Windows-based applications.


Role type: 2 years contract, renewable
