Assistant Section Manager (Regional Procurement)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate with SIC SGPO on supply allocation, capacity planning, and pricing.
• Discuss raw material quality and suggest competitive material grades for SEA.
• Liaise with Japanese headquarters to align material standards and ensure compliance with Shimano global policies.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance on material specifications and collaborate with SEA factories for implementation.
• Facilitate communication between SEA operations and Japan for timely decision-making.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management or supply chain coordination.
• Proficient in Japanese and English to communicate with regional stakeholders and support cross-border projects
• Strong analytical skills for demand forecasting and cost analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional teams and adapt to diverse cultural environments.
• Knowledge of SEA market dynamics and competitive material sourcing strategies.
• Willingness to travel within SEA for factory visits and supplier meetings.
