Assistant Sales Manager

Job Summary

You will join the strategic planning team to drive business development and maintain key customer relationships across Singapore, Malaysia, and Asia, leveraging market insights and cross-functional collaboration to expand business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales and marketing strategies to acquire new customers and strengthen supplier and customer relationships through regular communication and visits
• Execute strategies to grow business in new and existing markets by understanding customer needs and product knowledge
• Perform cost-benefit analysis to support business decisions and optimize resource allocation
• Monitor customer payment status and resolve shipment issues to ensure smooth operations
• Collaborate proactively with the Design Team to deliver customized solutions based on customer requirements
• Independently conduct due diligence and make informed business decisions regarding prospective partners
• Support management in budget preparation and financial planning
• Build and maintain relationships with key data center stakeholders including DCOs, EPCs, consultants, and partners
• Engage in pre-specification and pre-tender activities for data center projects to position solutions effectively
• Track and qualify data center project opportunities in Singapore and the SEAI region
• Coordinate internally with cross-functional and regional teams to align market activities, customer requirements, and project updates
• Act as liaison among customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to advance project opportunities
• Gather and analyze market information to provide updates on project status and industry trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or equivalent with 3-6 years of experience in electronics/semiconductors, Optical Communication, Optics, or related industries
• Proven sales record demonstrating initiative in acquiring new customers, recommending solutions, and executing sales strategies
• Technical and product knowledge of electronic devices and machinery
• Proven capability to develop and execute successful business strategies
• Knowledge of current market and business trends to inform strategy development
• Data analytics skills to interpret financial data for decision-making
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships and collaboration
• Ability to travel, including overseas travel
