Role Overview:

As part of a leading manufacturer in the audio and electronics sector, this position is instrumental in driving strategies focused on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) clients to accomplish set sales targets. You will closely collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, engaging with prominent manufacturers and distributors to strengthen and broaden the company's reach across significant regional markets.

The role calls for a high degree of cultural adaptability and robust leadership skills, complemented by a proactive, hands-on approach to both client relationship management and daily operations. Frequent travel is an integral aspect of the job, providing opportunities to make a tangible impact on the growth and direction of the organisation's sales within the industry.

Job Description:

  • You will report to the Regional Sales Manager and help oversee sales development in each country. Your role involves guiding sales staff and distributors in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Taiwan to secure targeted projects from automotive manufacturers.
  • Develop sales strategies to meet company goals and annual target.
  • Explore and expand into new markets, identifying opportunities to grow market share in the OEM segment.
  • Provide regular sales reports and market analysis to upper management, offering insights into trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Maintain direct engagement with key clients to negotiate contracts and secure large-scale projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in business administration/management/sales marketing or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Automotive OEM business as a Tier 1 supplier, ideally in the in-car entertainment segment.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in car audio products such as navigation systems and audio equipment.
  • Must be familiar with automotive OEM development procedures and Tier 1 supplier requirements.
  • Strong connections with ASEAN automotive OEMs, especially Japanese brands purchasing, R&D, and sales departments. Chinese EV car knowledge will be most acceptable too.
  • Robust understanding of business and operational processes, branding, and product positioning strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Electronic engineering background with experience in automotive or car audio industry will be preferred.
  • Willing to travel frequently within short notice (approximately 50% of the time).
  • Independent and self-driven personality, capable of working with minimal supervision and delivering results under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of supply chain management
  • Strong cultural adaptability when working with international clients.
