Assistant Restaurant Manager

Robata Akari is looking for a dedicated, responsible and service-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.

We are seeking someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality and the ability to support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations while ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests.

Job Responsibilities

- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.

- Supervise, lead and motivate the Front-of-House (FOH) team to maintain high service standards.

- Ensure smooth restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.

- Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.

- Monitor staff performance, attendance, grooming and discipline.

- Assist with staff scheduling, training and development.

- Ensure proper restaurant hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.

- Monitor inventory, stock control and daily operational expenses.

- Support sales performance and implement promotional activities.

- Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.

- Assist in preparing daily and monthly operational reports.

- Step in to manage restaurant operations in the Restaurant Manager's absence.

Job Requirements

- Experience in Japanese restaurants or fine dining establishments will be an advantage.

- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Good customer service and guest relationship management skills.

- Able to manage a team and work independently.

- Good understanding of restaurant operations, inventory control and cost management.

- Responsible, proactive, organised and detail-oriented.

- Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

- Good command of English. Japanese language skills will be an advantage.

Working Hours: Restaurant operating hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
