Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Assistant Reservations Manager at Paradox Singapore. The role will directly support the Reservations and Distribution Manager in ensuring the success of the department. Demonstrate superior leadership skills through driving the performance of reservations team, have in-depth knowledge of all systems and Standard Operating Procedures to provide guidance to the team. Showcase your passion for people development through delivering constructive feedback, coaching, and training. Take ownership of escalation cases with adept problem-solving skills and flexibility within boundaries, balancing the needs of the guest and the business. Improving reservations operations by focusing on a high degree of accuracy, maximizing revenue and providing superior service for guests and team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the Daily Operations of the Reservations Department and act as Deputy Head in his/her absence.
- Assists in monitoring and managing group reservation forecast data.
- Arrival Checks for future bookings with correspondence to be saved in shared folder.
- Manage Group Reservations with follow-up of groups status and rooming list updates.
- Tracks No Show and Cancelled reservations and processes charges as needed.
- Assist in Rate Loading for Corporate and Wholesale
- Checks daily arrivals to ensure all necessary booking details and billing instructions are applied to reservations accurately.
- Develops, implements, and maintains a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
- Conduct valuable performance reviews and provide on-going feedback to Reservations colleagues while providing opportunities for learning and development.
- Lead the Reservations colleagues by ensuring proper training and scheduling.
- Ensure accurate pricing and market segmentation of gained business.
- Liaise with other departments and ensure revenue is maximized with inventory availability and correct pricing.
- Handle 3rd level escalation of complaints from team before bringing them up to Manager / Director of Revenue & Distribution / Department Head.
- Abide to Hotel's and Department's policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Segregate and assist in managing daily Reservations operations.
- Manage reports and ensure submission for signatories within the timeline.
- Maintain service standards when liaising with internal and external guests.
- Knows Hotel's products and services, room types as well as location and layout.
- Knows the credit policy of hotel.
- Process Advance Deposits, modifications, and cancellations promptly and timely.
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.
