Cistri 2026 Student Internship Program

Role: Assistant Research Analyst

Period: May 2026 August 2026 (12-weeks)

Cistri, the international arm of Urbis Australia's leading advisor on cities and urban development represents a new type of consultancy providing meaningful and holistic advice for urban development across the disciplines of economics, planning and design.

We work collaboratively with governments, developers, investors, NGOs, and communities across Asia and the Middle East, bringing independent, multidisciplinary expertise to address complex urban challenges. Our insights help clients make informed property, strategy, and investment decisions, shaping smarter cities, healthier communities, and successful urban spaces.

About our Student Internship Program:

At Cistri, we believe in empowering students to thrive and make a real impact on the cities of tomorrow. Our 12-week program, running from May to August 2026, will enable you to graduate with the distinct advantage of industry experience over your peers. Subject to performance and market conditions, our interns will have the opportunity to move into a permanent role as a Research Analyst upon graduation.

As an intern in our Economics & Property team, you will:

  • Collate and analyse qualitative and quantitative data for projects and assisting the broader team in the preparation of presentations and drafting client reports.
  • Conduct market research to obtain preliminary data across a wide range of sources and networks.
  • Develop skills in appropriate tools such as economic & financial modelling, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), PowerBI and other relevant applications to analyse data and generate insights and recommendations.
  • Gain hands-on experience and build comprehensive knowledge in economic analysis through on-the-job learning, working on diverse real-world projects across Singapore, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.

About you:

This program will be suitable for those who will be undertaking tertiary studies in a relevant field in 2026 and have a combination of the following competencies:

  • Currently undertaking a degree in Economics, Real Estate, Business Analytics, or possesses skills relevant to these fields of study
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to communicate with confidence and in a responsive manner, both written and verbally
  • Passionate, hardworking and a great fit for our spirited, collaborative culture at Cistri
