Job Summary
Juturna Pte. Ltd. seeks an Assistant Reclaimer Master to support marine reclamation onboard a reclaimer barge in Singapore waters, assisting in sand discharge, spreading, level control, and coordinating reclamation operations with a multinational crew.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor reclaimer barge systems, including conveyors and discharge equipment, to ensure effective sand discharge
- Support sand spreading, trimming, and level control activities to maintain required reclamation levels
- Coordinate with vessels to manage receiving and discharge of fill materials efficiently
- Collaborate with the survey team to verify and support reclamation level requirements
- Supervise and coordinate onboard crew daily tasks to maintain smooth operations
- Follow workplace safety requirements and safe work procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform routine equipment checks and assist in basic maintenance to sustain operational readiness
- Maintain daily operational records and assist in preparing reports for project tracking
Required competencies and certifications
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in marine reclamation or similar operations
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow operational instructions
- Willingness to stay onboard vessel during deployment periods
- Basic English communication skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in reclaimer barge operations or similar marine equipment
- Basic understanding of reclamation workflow including receiving, discharge, spreading, and level control
- Comfortable working with multinational crews
