Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Manager) supports the Senior QS and Project Manager in managing all aspects of quantity surveying for construction projects. This role involves cost control, contract administration, procurement, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate a team of Quantity Surveyors in tender preparation, submission, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Take charge of contract reviews to ensure accurate and compliant tenders.

  • Develop project plans, estimate budgets, and set timescales.

  • Review and negotiate terms of business contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including quantity take-offs, and liaise with clients and consultants.

  • Obtain, compile, and evaluate quotations from suppliers according to tender requirements.

  • Respond to client queries and follow up on submitted tenders.

  • Attend site briefings or site visits to understand project conditions during pre-tender and tender stages.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, procedures, and ISO requirements for documentation.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold ethics in all contractual matters.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of Singapore-based experience as a Senior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor in the ACMV/MEP field.

  • Strong knowledge of Chilled Water Systems, VRV systems, and Design & Build tenders.

  • Knowledgeable in the Singapore Code of Practice and Greenmark requirements.

  • Proficient in tender costing and contract administration.

  • Positive working attitude, able to work independently, and a strong team player.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.

    Able to work 5.5 days per week.

    Working Hours:

    Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

    Location:

    Approximately a 10-minute walk from Admiralty MRT Station
