The Assistant Project Manager (Assistant PM) supports the Project Manager in the delivery of ICT, Telecom, and Data Centre projects by coordinating daytoday project activities, tracking execution, managing documentation, and supporting stakeholder communications.
This role focuses on project execution support and operational coordination, while overall accountability for people management, client ownership, commercial outcomes, and strategic direction remains with the Project Manager.
Project Execution Support
Support Project Managers in executing approved project plans, schedules, and delivery strategies.
Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and action items, ensuring timely followup.
Coordinate engineering teams, vendors, and Remote Hands resources to support project delivery.
Ensure work is executed in accordance with defined scope, schedule, and quality standards.
Stakeholder & Client Coordination
Support daytoday coordination with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare project status updates, progress reports, and meeting materials for PM review.
Attend client and site meetings as required to support delivery and action tracking.
Escalate risks, issues, and client concerns to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Operational & Process Compliance
Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports.
Ensure compliance with internal project processes, safety requirements, and site procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by highlighting delivery inefficiencies or risks.
Financial & Commercial Support
Assist in tracking project costs, variations, and progress claims for PM review.
Support scope clarifications and change management documentation.
Provide accurate project data to support reporting and commercial reviews.
Remote Hands & OnSite Support
Coordinate Remote Hands and onsite Enterprise Support teams based on approved schedules.
Ensure service delivery activities align with contracted SLAs and client requirements.
Support incident response and afterhours activities when required, escalating to PM as needed.
3-5 years experience in ICT, Telecom, Data Centre, or IT infrastructure environments.
Exposure to infrastructure projects such as structured cabling, networking, systems deployment, or data centre works.
Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects in a Singapore operating environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
PMP / PRINCE2 certification will be an advantage.
ITIL certification will be an advantage.
CCNAlevel knowledge will be an advantage.
Data Centre certifications (e.g. CDCDP) will be an advantage.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
