ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of construction projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in metal works and be capable of managing projects under main contractor environment. The role requires strong leaderships, coordination and communication skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in Planning, coordinating and managing all site activities from project commencement to completion.
• Lead and supervise sites teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities and internal department to resolve technical and operational issues
• Monitor project progress, productivity, quality and safety compliance.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support and projects update.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and update projects schedules, work programs, progress reports and site documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 5 years od relevant experience in the construction industry with at least 3 years in a Main Contractor environment.
• Proven experience in metal works, including structural steel, architectural metal works, steel installations,
• Able to read and interpret construction drawing, specifications and shop drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project Management software (e.g. MS Project).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
